    Mali’s Corner

Mali’s corner is famous for its Char Kuey Teow and their restaurant is located in Kuala Lumpur. It is also a popular place because it offers Malay style of cooking, which differs from the Chinese style. The sauce is not so thick and has a spicy taste to it as well. The noodles are also less oily than most of the other stalls, which means that you have more flavourful ingredients to enjoy! Instead of ‘char’ (which means fried in Chinese), the kuey teow that Mali’ Corner offer is more to ‘wet’ kuey teow; which is also the common type of kuey teow in Malay cuisine/cooking. While the Chinese like it dry and wok hei taste, the Malay cuisine for kuey teow is wetter and has a little hint of spiciness. I know this thread is about ‘char’ kuey teow; but if you’re feeling adventurous, do try wet kuey teow! Especially from Mali’s corner in Danau Kota (the one that I usually go to). Below is a picture of wet kuey teow for reference. Besides famous for their kuey teow, Mali’s corner also well known for its Nasi Lemak ayam! If you think Village Park is good, then you should try their Nasi Lemak as well. I am not too sure why their Nasi lemak didn’t get raved as much as Village Park when in my opinion, it is slightly better than Village Park.

My all-time favourite is curry laksa! Curry Laksa uses curry broth and coconut milk as the broth/soup. These ingredients can be prepared at home in many different ways. The closest traditional Malaysian versions that I like is curry laksa from Ah Cheng Laksa! Curry laksa can be eaten on its own or as part of another dish such as nasi lemak (or simply nasi).

The origins of curry laksa are obscure; however, the dish has been created and enjoyed by the Malaysian and Singaporean communities for many years. Invented by migrant workers who were required to take their meals out from their homes, curry laksa is now a popular street food and is found in many small restaurants throughout Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. The dish gained popularity among home cooks during the 1970s.

Curry laksa is usually served with: meat or seafood – either barbecued or stir-fried. I would suggest you to try Ah Cheng’s Curry laksa. It’s not too spicy as well in case you can’t tolerate spicy food. The curry laksa is simply fabulous! Innocent

Personally, I think you can’t go wrong with white, white is the best color for decorating a baby room. White has many benefits because it provides plenty of light to the room and is ideal for playing with colors, patterns and textures that will give your child’s new room a fun and interesting look. Fette Sau’s

I think we should support our local burger joints other than these international giants, There’s no better place to grab a burger that’s raw and tasty than Fette Sau’s, which is a hidden gem not many people know about. With its clean and elegant design and atmospheric atmosphere, you won’t regret ordering their burgers. The burger menu here consists of 6 burgers served from 4 different varieties and priced between RM18-RM28, excluding taxes. If you choose the Double King Burger, you’ll get 2 beef patties and 2 slices of bacon sandwiched between 2 pieces of french fries on a brioche bun. For something completely different, you can also order the Di Hock Hock Burger. You can’t go wrong with their crispy fried prawns piled with meaty ground chicken pieces on a mushroom and onion bun.
