    Toppings

1.) The most common toppings for apam balik are grated coconut, brown sugar, and sliced banana. Other savoury variations include sardines, and fried egg with onions. In recent times some stalls also offer ice cream toppings such as chocolate syrup or chocolate sauce to create an ice-cream apam balik variant.

2.) A variant of apam balik called Sa-pek Balik is popular in Perak. This type of apam balik uses tomato ketchup as its topping instead of the traditional grated coconut. Sa-pek balik is also known as a laab ketumbar or toh payoh (toasted sardines).

3). The best toppings for Apam Balik are the garnishes that accompany it: fried shallots, fried garlic, and chopped scallions. There are also many other toppings that you can add to the dish. I like to make my own croutons of french bread. These would be great for Apam Balik.

4.) A lot of variations are possible, including adding roast peanuts or fried onions as topping. But one thing uncommon is that Apam Balik served in Malaysia and Singapore usually contains egg.

Interested in Dim Sum topic. What is the history behind it? Apologies if it’s off-topic. I have been curious about it. Would appreciate it if anyone can enlighten me.

I looked up this project awhile ago. So, yes, it’s an SP Setia Bhd project. I think due for completion this year or early next year(?).

It has 32 floors and 426 units.

The layout is okay-ish I guess because it starts from 926 sq ft but gets as big as 2141 sq ft.

But the biggest concern for me was the price tag. 500k for 926 sq ft is pretty steep. That’s kinda like the range people usually get when they try to find a place in KL City Centre.

Other than that, for me, the facilities/amenities got nothing extravagant. The usual pool, landscaped garden, and things along that line.

The location is also ok – pretty close to all the malls, schools, and stuff

Mainland for me! As a food addict, I feel like people often misrepresent the hawker food quality on Penang Island. While they are good, actually the food in Seberang  Prai and Bukit Mertajam are more authentic. And don’t even let me start on the price per bowl. It’s usually overpriced to get a plate of rojak on the island. So for me, I prefer the mainland just because of better traffic condition and relatively cheaper food option

Some people look for a beautiful place. Others make a place beautiful.

Never limit yourself because of others’ limited imagination; never limit others because of your own limited imagination.

Inspiration comes from within yourself. One has to be positive. When you’re positive, good things happen.
