    Tamarind Springs

Tamarind Springs is a Malaysian restaurant in Kuala Lumpur catering for local and international guests. They serve authentic Indochinese cuisine with affordable prices, a wide array of wines and spirits. Their main specialty is seafood. which I really love!

A common factor amongst their customers is that they are predominantly expats. The restaurant attracts people from Europe, the United States, Australia, and Japan among others to dine at their restaurant on a regular basis. They provide one of a Kind Dining Experience in KL. They maintain an average occupancy rate of 70 seats per day during the lunch period.

The seafood served at Tamarind Springs are a variety of naturally raised mature crustaceans and shellfish harvested from the pristine waters of the South China Sea and Pacific Ocean which has been ‘batched-farmed’ under certified processes. The seafood is then imported in their live state to Tamarind Springs for preparation by their skilled chefs before being cooked using classic Malaysian recipes.

Tamarind Springs uses only wild caught seafood and locally farmed products. They do not use any frozen seafood or imported seafood.

The restaurant was opened in 2004. It is one of Malaysia’s first and only restaurants to have an aquarium. The aquarium was created in 2011 as a natural extension of their restaurant’s concept, being a “one-of-a-kind dining experience.” The aquarium is part of the restaurant’s long term development plans which includes a modern high-tech kitchen facility to be implemented by the end of 2014.

The restaurant is located at Jalan Cheras in Kuala Lumpur. It has a seating capacity of 80 people with air conditioning and outdoor seating facilities.
